Fair isle or stranded colourwork is a technique in which two yarns are used at once to develop patterns in your knitting. This class will help you get on your way to discovering how fun working with two or more colours can be! We will make a hat. Several days before the class you will be sent instructions for casting on and knitting the brim of the hat so that in class we can get right to working with two colours!
Materials: 100g of dk weight yarn (main colour), 50g of dk weight yarn (contrast colour), 3.5mm needles (dpns or 16" circulars) for cast on and brim, 4.5mm 16" circular needles, 4.5mm dpns for crown.
Students must know how to knit in the round with dpns or circular needles. Recommended prerequisite: Learn to Knit in the Round: https://passionknit.ca/collections/classes-workshops/products/knitting-in-the-round-a-hat
