This class is for absolute beginners who want to learn how to knit, or if you've learned before but want a refresher of the basics. In this class we will cover casting on, casting off, and the knit stitch in the first session. In the second session we will learn the purl stitch and how to use both in the same row to make different textured fabrics. We will also discuss how to hold your needles and yarn and how to read a pattern. After taking this class you will be able to confidently begin new projects, do knits, purls and finish projects.
Required Materials: 4.5mm needles circular or straight, one ball of Coastline, and a darning needle. We recommend working with light/bright colour yarn in class so that it is easy to see the stitches. This class comes with several patterns to get you started!
