In this two-session online class we will cover the long tail cast on method, joining our work in the round, knitting with circular needles and double pointed needles to create a winter hat. In week one we will cast on and begin knitting the ribbed section of the hat. In between sessions you will be tasked with knitting several inches of the body of the hat. In the second session we will cover decreasing and switching to double pointed needles to finish our hat.
Required Materials: 100g of worsted or aran weight yarn, 4.5mm 16” circular needle, 5mm 16” circular needle, one set of 5mm double pointed needles, 10 stitch markers, darning needle. We recommend working with light/bright colour yarn in class so that it is easy to see the stitches clearly.
